{"id":524,"date":"2015-09-06T19:44:12","date_gmt":"2015-09-06T19:44:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kcc.life\/life\/?p=524"},"modified":"2015-09-18T03:01:42","modified_gmt":"2015-09-18T03:01:42","slug":"sermon-september-6-2015-for-freedom-christ-has-set-us-free","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kcc.life\/life\/sermon-september-6-2015-for-freedom-christ-has-set-us-free\/","title":{"rendered":"Sermon \u2013 September 6, 2015: \u201cFor Freedom Christ Has Set Us Free\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<audio class=\"wp-audio-shortcode\" id=\"audio-524-1\" preload=\"none\" style=\"width: 100%;\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"audio\/mpeg\" src=\"http:\/\/kcc.life\/life\/sermons\/sep6-15.mp3?_=1\" \/><a href=\"http:\/\/kcc.life\/life\/sermons\/sep6-15.mp3\">http:\/\/kcc.life\/life\/sermons\/sep6-15.mp3<\/a><\/audio>\n<h4>Galatians 5:1-26<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>The <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Essence<\/strong> <\/span>of Freedom in Christ\n<ol>\n<li>Freedom from <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>sin<\/strong> <\/span>and its consequences<\/li>\n<li>Freedom from <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>anxiety<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li>Freedom from <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>fear<\/strong> <\/span>of <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>death<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>The <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Escapes<\/strong> <\/span>from Freedom in Christ\n<ol>\n<li>With freedom comes personal <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>responsibility<\/strong><\/span>\n<ol>\n<li>For valuing, defending and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>preserving<\/strong> <\/span>freedom<\/li>\n<li>For your personal <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>conduct<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li>For <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>filtering<\/strong> <\/span>information, considering <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>options<\/strong> <\/span>and to make <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>responsible<\/strong> <\/span>decisions<\/li>\n<li>For bearing the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>burdens<\/strong> <\/span>of others (6:2)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Many find freedom to be too <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>threatening<\/strong> <\/span>and too <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>heavy<\/strong> <\/span>a responsibility to carry.<\/li>\n<li>So they seek to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>escape<\/strong><\/span>, and fall back into\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Addictions<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li>Allowing others <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>rule<\/strong> <\/span>over them and make <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>decisions<\/strong> <\/span>for them<\/li>\n<li>Some even commit <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>suicide<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>The <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Abuse<\/span> of Freedom in Christ (5:13)\n<ol>\n<li>Using freedom to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>indulge<\/strong> <\/span>the sinful nature\n<ol>\n<li>Insisting on having it <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>my way<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li>Doing whatever I <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>feel<\/strong><\/span>, regardless of the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>consequences<\/strong> <\/span>or of what God has said<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Rather, we are admonished to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>serve<\/strong> <\/span>one another in love (5:13b)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>The <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Spirit<\/strong> <\/span>of Freedom in Christ\n<ol>\n<li>More than just a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>feeling<\/strong><\/span>, a thirst or a personal quest for being free<\/li>\n<li>We have been given the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>spirit<\/strong> <\/span>of freedom &#8211;
