(Matt 6:5-6)<\/li>\n<li>God is concerned with the attitude of your prayer and not the language. (Matt 6:7-8)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>The expressions of the Lord\u2019s prayer\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cHallowed be your name\u201d \u2013 Recognize who you are praying to: there is no one like God.<\/li>\n<li>\u201cYour kingdom come\u201d \u2013 Recognize God\u2019s sovereignty: only God\u2019s will matters.<\/li>\n<li>\u201cGive us each day our daily bread\u201d \u2013 Recognize God\u2019s provision: God provides the essentials.<\/li>\n<li>\u201cand forgive us our sins, for we ourselves forgive everyone who is indebted to us\u201d \u2013 Recognize God\u2019s grace and mercy: God has forgiven us and enables us to forgive others.<\/li>\n<li>Matthew\u2019s epilogue \u2013 God will not forgive us if we don\u2019t forgive others. (Matt 6:14-15).<\/li>\n<li>\u201cAnd lead us not into temptation\u201d \u2013 Recognize God\u2019s power over evil: God helps us bear up under temptation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Luke\u2019s epilogue\n<ul>\n<li>Be persistent in prayer: persistence reveals we are serious about our request. (Luke 11:5-8)<\/li>\n<li>Persistence helps us learn and accept God\u2019s will. (Luke 11:9-10)<\/li>\n<li>Depend upon God: he answers prayers.
