{"id":1353,"date":"2017-09-19T01:29:20","date_gmt":"2017-09-19T01:29:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kcc.life\/life\/?p=1353"},"modified":"2017-10-15T23:32:57","modified_gmt":"2017-10-15T23:32:57","slug":"sermon-september-17-2017-faithful-sharing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kcc.life\/life\/sermon-september-17-2017-faithful-sharing\/","title":{"rendered":"Sermon &#8211; September 17, 2017: &#8220;Faithful Sharing&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<audio class=\"wp-audio-shortcode\" id=\"audio-1353-1\" preload=\"none\" style=\"width: 100%;\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"audio\/mpeg\" src=\"http:\/\/kcc.life\/life\/sermons\/sep17-17.mp3?_=1\" \/><a href=\"http:\/\/kcc.life\/life\/sermons\/sep17-17.mp3\">http:\/\/kcc.life\/life\/sermons\/sep17-17.mp3<\/a><\/audio>\n<p>Luke 9:1-6<\/p>\n<p><strong>Luke\u2019s reason for recording<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Faith is a major theme in this section of his Gospel (chap 8-9).<\/li>\n<li>The disciples are given the opportunity to put their own faith into practice through a short-term training mission.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What\u2019s so important about faith?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Most people don\u2019t consider the fact that we all live by faith.<\/li>\n<li>Jesus emphasizes faith, and we discover that it is essential\u2026\n<ul>\n<li>in receiving salvation.<\/li>\n<li>in living a life that pleases God.<\/li>\n<li>in bearing up under worldly persecution.<\/li>\n<li>in striving against spiritual forces.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Jesus reveals that we can choose to believe in revealed truth.<\/li>\n<li>This awareness should cause the Christian to live a life of faith that is both purposeful and intentional.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Faith applied to the mission<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All Christians are called to share the good news and make disciples.<\/li>\n<li>You must have faith that God has fully equipped you for the mission.\n<ul>\n<li>You have power and authority in that you have the Holy Spirit within you.<\/li>\n<li>In reality, the Holy Spirit uses you to accomplish his work.<\/li>\n<li>The greatest \u201cdraw\u201d you can have is when you are fully exhibiting a life of faith.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>You must have faith when the mission takes priority over everything else.\n<ul>\n<li>God has promised that our needs will be provided for when we put him first.<\/li>\n<li>Each of us needs to consider what it means to live a simplistic lifestyle.<\/li>\n<li>Simplistic living creates less conflict in fulfilling the mission.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>You must have faith when people respond negatively to the message.\n<ul>\n<li>Your mission is to simply take the gospel to the world.<\/li>\n<li>Your mission is not to convert people.<\/li>\n<li>If you live and share in faith you are not responsible for the rejection of the gospel.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The Transformation Expectation<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>God wants us to be faithful in sharing the good news and have faith that He will provide all that is needed to do so.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Luke 9:1-6 Luke\u2019s reason for recording Faith is a major theme in this section of his Gospel (chap 8-9).
