(John 13:34)<\/li>\n<li>Jesus expects us to give and do what is best and right for each other.<\/li>\n<li>Truly loving one another means that we do not let each other\u2019s sin go unchecked.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Love through confronting sin<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Our first priority is making every effort to not live in sin ourselves.<\/li>\n<li>We all need help though, and one way we can help one another is by obeying the command to confront each other\u2019s sin when it is perceived.<\/li>\n<li>We always need to approach confrontation with the first priority being the discovery of why sin is taking place.<\/li>\n<li>With such knowledge, we need to act accordingly: either teach, correct or rebuke.<\/li>\n<li>The goal of such confrontation is repentance and continued involvement in the family of God.<\/li>\n<li>Those who have undergone church discipline cannot be accepted or expected to act as a member of God\u2019s family.<\/li>\n<li>The goal for those who have undergone church discipline is to see them submit to the lordship of Jesus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Transformation Expectation<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Jesus expects us to love fully and completely even when we perceive such giving as a conflict of interest to our own wants and desires.<\/li>\n<li>Jesus expects us to love especially when it is tough to do so.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Commands of Jesus Confront Sin Matthew 18:15-20 It\u2019s all about the love Jesus expects us to love one another as he has loved us.
