Purpose of Prophecy
• Prophecy focuses our attention on future things.
• Prophecy also focuses on present living in light of the future.
• Though there are specific prophecies concerning the future, there are also general prophecies given to warn people so that things to come may be avoided.
Applying what we learned
• We have been given promises concerning tomorrow.
• We can be sure of tomorrow so we don’t have to worry about it.
• We are freed to live in the present in view of tomorrow.
• So make the most of the present by living in purity.
